General information
Periodicals Reading Room temporary operates as following:
1st floor, room 106
The Periodicals Reading Room includes the Newspaper Reading Room and the Magazine Reading Room.
Newspaper Reading Room
The reading room provides service to all users of the Library. Documents are delivered from the main library stock and the deposit collection.
The deposit collection contains sets of Belarusian and Russian newspapers published in the last 3–5 years (about 120 titles) on social, political and special themes, and also information and advertising publications for the current year. All periodicals is available on open access.
Periodicals from the closed section of the deposit collection is delivered on request at the delivery desk. Newspapers unavailable in the deposit collection can be booked on any user workbench.
Access to electronic resources
- Electronic resources of the Library:
- corporate databases;
- databases of the major world information companies;
- the Internet.
Additional Services:
- photocopying and scanning of fragments of newspapers, size up to А3;
- copying of information from databases onto users’ data media;
- print of electronic information;
- scanning of other sizes of newspapers published before 1946 (advance booking is required);
- photography of newspapers with user’s device.
The reading room hosts subject book exhibitions.
The opening hours of the reading room correspond to the opening hours of the Library.

Magazine Reading Room
The reading room provides service to all users of the Library. Documents are delivered from the deposit collection.
The deposit collection contains sets of Belarusian, Russian and foreign magazines published in the last 3 years (about 600 titles) on all fields of knowledge. Periodicals from the closed section of the deposit collection are delivered on request at the delivery desk. Magazines from the library stock can’t be booked or delivered to the reading room.
