The presentation of the Complete Works in 5 volumes by Mikalay Krukousky, Belarusian philosopher and culture expert, was held on April 23 in the Library.
Mikalay Krukousky (1923–2013), candidat of Philological Sciences, professor, PhD in Philosophy, a well-known Belarusian philosopher, explored the contemporary issues of the country's cultural life, the formation of the national consciousness.
Mikalay Krukousky is the author of around 150 articles about scientific and social issues, and a range of monographs.
The researcher’s works cover philosophy, linguistics, aesthetics and cultural studies, and are rich in content, thoughts and foundations.
The event was attended by disciples and former colleagues: Alexander Susha, Deputy Director for Research and Publishing of the National Library of Belarus; Alexander Laptenok, Ph.D. in Philosophy, director of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Education of the Belarusian State Economic University; Anatoliy Ostapenko, candidate of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, professor in educational institution "BIP-Institute of Law"; Vadim Saleev, Ph.D. in Philosophy, professor; Alexey Rogulya, candidate of Philological Sciences, professor of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Art; Anatoly Taras, candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, historian, writer. Olga Krukouskaya, musician, daughter of M. Krukousky, shared her memories with the audience.
