A solemn ceremony of giving passports and membership cards of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union to pupils of Pervomaisky district of Minsk was held on March 15 in the library. Traditionally the event is timed to the Day of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and took place in the framework of the Belarusian patriotic action "We are citizens of Belarus!".

There were solemnity, officiality and easy excitement, cause such important document as passport is not given every day. The participants of the ceremony fully understand at their young age that to get a "ticket to adulthood" means not only a certain freedom, but also a great responsibility.

The main document was given to the pupils of the Pervomaisky District by the guests of honor: Igor Kudrevich, Head of the administration of the Pervomaisky district of Minsk; Sergey Bobrykov, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and Yevgeny Svetogor, Deputy of the Minsk City Council of Deputies.

The most active and talented children, those who always used to be in the forefront, were gifted another important document - the membership card of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM). Elena Lisay, the First Secretary of the BRSM of the Pervomaisky district, Lyudmila Borisenko, Head of the education department of the administration of the Pervomaisky district of Minsk and Lilia Kovaleva, Deputy Head of the department of ideological work of culture and youth affairs of the administration of Pervomaisky district took part in the ceremony.

After the solemn part children visited a sightseeing tour of the National Library, during which they learned about the unusual architecture of the building and the huge opportunities that the "diamond of knowledge" offers.
