Публикация Всемирной организации интеллектуальной собственности (ВОИС) «ИС: факты и цифры» за 2019 год содержит обзор деятельности в области интеллектуальной собственности (ИС), подготовленный на основе полных статистических данных за предшествующий год. Данные, представленные в публикации, взяты из более подробного доклада ВОИС «Мировые показатели деятельности в области интеллектуальной собственности» за 2019 год.
Публикация «ИС: факты и цифры» является кратким справочным руководством, в котором рассматриваются четыре вида прав промышленной собственности: патенты, полезные модели, товарные знаки и промышленные образцы. Основное внимание уделено данным о поданных заявках, которые чаще всего используются для количественной оценки деятельности в области ИС. Если не указано иное, все приводимые данные относятся к операциям за 2018 календарный год, а под термином «рост» понимаются годовые темпы роста, т.е. динамика за период с 2017 года по 2018 год.
