We invite everyone who has found his soul mate, as well as those who are still searching, for a romantic meeting... in the library! Valentine's Day is a great opportunity to remind loved ones of your feelings and bring lonely friends together. Let the well-aimed Amur’s arrow hit the desired target.
Before you send your friends to the love front, give them our message. To make a perfect Valentine's Day you have just 4 steps to perform:
Step 1. The Cupid's heart (atrium on the 2nd floor, 10 am – 4.30 pm)
Take a chance and find out what you have to expect in love in this year. If you firmly believe in the "Everyone is the architect of their own happiness" slogan then you can laugh from a paper heart together.
Step 2. Take a memory photo (atrium on the 2nd floor, 10 am – 6 pm)
Relax under the compositions by Otis Redding, Frank Sinatra and other, and let make the memories of this meeting warm, tender and romantic. In order to remember this day, we invite you to take a selfie in the "Meeting Place" photo zone.
Step 3. The"Time Machine" Cinema (atrium on the 2nd floor, noon – 4.30 pm)
Immerse yourself in the special atmosphere of feature films of the 40s–60s of the 20th century from the library collection. There are "Fires of the Big City", "Roman Holiday", "Casablanca", "Romeo and Juliet" (3 films to choose from).
Step 4. Love book (atrium on the 2nd floor, 10 am – 6 pm)
After all of the above, we remind you that we are still talking about the library and they read books there. Take part in the "Love book" social movement. You will have to choose a book by its package with only one sentence written on the package.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
By the way the International Book Giving Day is on February 14. Perhaps it’s not by chance that these holidays are in one day because that is also about love, but for books. You can take part in bookcrossing in the main hall of the Library until February 24.
If you feel that you are ready to soar into the clouds with happiness, we offer to climb to the observation deck of the library.
On February 14 at the observation deck you can find:
• a beautiful view of the city;
• thematic photozone;
• valentine's day cards;
• lounge area in the "Panorama" art gallery (22nd floor, 15.00-17.00).
