Tender and bright, large and miniature: the exhibition project "Constellation of Images" presents an embroidery works made by talented craftswomen from the club "Sozvezdie" lead by the Belarusian Union of Women. In skillful hands, a needle and hundreds of multi-colored cottons have created colorful landscapes, skillful portraits and even works based on paintings by famous artists.
It’s symbolic that the exhibition unfolded in the highest exhibition hall of the library - in the gallery "Panorama" at an altitude of about 70 meters! There the constellations of images lit up.
The opening ceremony was attended by First Deputy National Library of Belarus, member of the Belarusian Women’s Union Elena Dolgopolova, chairman of the Belarusian Women’s Union of Pervomaisky district Taisia Puzhevich, head of the "Sozvezdie" club Natalia Sak, poetess, member of the Belarusian Writers Union, member of the Belarusian Women’s Union, Valentina Polikanina.
The project was organized by the National Library of Belarus and the Belarusian Union of Women.
Embroidery club "Sozvezdie" has existed for 12 years, and over the years, the professionalism of the craftswomen grows with the desire to decorate the world with their paintings, where a piece of soul is embedded in every stitch.
