"The Ladies have arrived" in the gallery “Panorama” on the 22nd floor of the library with the project of Siarhej Radziuk “Romantic adventurism”. The famous “flying ladies” in white clothes and exquisite hats are present in many paintings of the author. Light, airy, sitting on clouds, they embody the dream of the artist, the images of his lyrical mood.
The exhibition with the intriguing title "Romantic adventurism" opened to visitors the emotional and philosophical world of Siarhej Radziuk
Guests of the exhibition could see his realistic and non-objective painting, modern, as well as the author’s experiments in “jazz style”. Some romantic landscapes feature readable texts of favorite poems of the artist, others encrypt the letters of the Glagolitic alphabet or symbols of the “solar square”. In some paintings the author moves away from the image plane and combines painting with collage elements.
Opening the exhibition, Aliaksandar Zimenka, the head of the gallery and exhibition department of the National Library of Belarus, named the artist “an adventurer in the best sense of the word”. "It’s nice to watch how the author transforms and creates extra dimensions working with texts and bulky details. Only a skilled master would dare to such bold experiments,” Aliaksandar Zimenka said.
Siarhej Davidovič, the chair of the painting department of the Belarusian Union of Artists told about the large-scale artistic association "The Sunny Square" and its permanent president Siarhej Radziuk.
The grand opening was attended by the first deputy director of the National Library of Belarus Aliena Dalhapolava. Anatol Kuzniacoǔ, the abstract artist, and Siarhej Kryštapovič, the head of the International Public Association of Artists and Critics "Master", expressed greeting words to the hero of the day.
The author of the project Siarhej Radziuk in his speech compared the artists to doctors who diagnosed society by warning about the dangers and making us think about the important.
The exhibition will run till 5 May, 2016. From 6 April, entrance to the exhibition is paid (see the observation deck entrance fee).
