The art exhibition "The Team" featuring works by teachers of the department of design of the Belarusian State University opened in the National Library on December, 13th.


The authors of the artworks are members of the Belarusian and International Unions of Designers, the Belarusian Union of Artists and the Polish Union of Artists in Belarus: Alexander Azonchik, Julia Bortnik, Vladimir Golubev, Olga Gopienko, Eugenia Dzyuba, Natalia Dlotovskaya, Vladimir Zharkevich, Victoria Ikonnikova Victor Kamianiec Tatiana Lavdar, Anton Mikhalev, Anastasia Mozgovaya, Larisa Stryzhak, Alexei Sementsov, Sergei Sukovitsin, Natalya Frolova.

The concept of the exposition is the visualization of the team spirit at the department of design of the Belarusian State University. The offered media installation consists of ten images made by means of painting, graphics, photos and movies. The variety of works of art presented at the exhibition let the viewer see the patterns of the corporate "we" and the individual "I".

The event was attended by the deputy director of the National Library of Belarus for information resources Tatiana Kuzminich, the deputy dean for educational work of the BSU faculty of social and cultural communications, Ph.D. Ivan Yanushevich, the head of the BSU department of design, member of the Belarusian Union of Designers Aleksey Sementsov, the art critic, member of the Union of Artists of Belarus and the Belarusian Union of Designers Tatiana Bembel.

The exposition runs until 30 January, 2017, in the gallery “Rakurs” (2nd floor).

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."

By this date, the National Library of Belarus is replenishing with new materials the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created in 2019.
