The National Library of Belarus, the largest information centre of the state, contains the maximum amount of objective information about our country.
A new thematic exhibition "Belarus Today" has opened in the Periodicals Reading Rooms (room 106, 1st floor).
The exhibition features publications about the formation of the Belarusian statehood, the current state of development, achievements in the socio-economic, scientific and cultural spheres, foreign policy and foreign economic relations, the traditions of our people and unique natural resources.
The exhibition consists of two sections.
“Belarus, the State” section includes publications on the history of the land, socio-political and social literature on the current tendencies and ways of its further development.
The “Modern Portrait of Culture and Art of Belarus” section demonstrates books on cultural and historical heritage, monuments of religious architecture, as well as encyclopaedic reference books, photo albums, booklets revealing a rich cultural life and appeal of Belarus.
The exhibition also highlights articles from periodicals about advances in information, biotechnology, and medicine, environmental and cultural initiatives.
The visitors will see the latest products of Belarusian publishing houses, published over the past three years.
The exhibition runs until August 8.
The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.
Admission is by a library card or by the Social and Cultural Center ticket.
