A New Year's interactive theatrical performance "The Magic of the New Year's Eve" was held for the children of the employees of the National Library of Belarus and children of the social and pedagogical centre with the boarding school of the Pieshamajski district of the city of Minsk in the conference hall on December 24.

Fairy-tale characters created a magical atmosphere throughout the performance. Little spectators plunged headlong into a journey full of interesting adventures and mysterious meetings, and learned that kindness, courage and true friendship will overcome any trials and difficulties.

The children have been waiting for real magic for a whole year, so they took part in the entertainment program with great pleasure, won competitions and danced in roundels. The winter magician, Dzied Maroz, was a particular delight, as he lit up the Christmas lights and presented the children with Christmas presents!

This is the largest professional forum, the main task of which is to exchange experience and improve the skills of restorers and curators of museum, library and archival collections from different countries.

April 18, 2024 marks the 210th anniversary of the birth of Yevstafiy Tyshkevich, a famous archaeologist, historian, ethnographer, local historian and museologist. His research has raised whole layers of the historical past, he was one of the first Belarusian authors of local lore. To mark the anniversary of the scientist, an exhibition "Connoisseur of Belarusian Antiquities" has been organized in the Book Museum of the National Library of Belarus.
