On March 31st at the National Library of Belarus took place the presentation of the website Asabliva.by of the Special Education Administration of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
The website has been developed with the purpose of informing citizens of the Republic of Belarus, and first of all persons with special psychophysical needs, on special education in the Republic of Belarus. The information materials on the website concern special education and are designed for specialists working with special children, their parents and also children with special educational needs. The peculiarity of Asabliva.by is that the website provides information access to persons with special psychophysical needs through special software that transforms information into audio format, magnifies texts and selects the basic information.
The project has been realized thanks to the support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Belarus, Astronim Company and the Main Information-Analytical Center of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Kazimir Farino, Head of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Belarus Dietrich Dreier, and Acting Director of the National Library of Belarus Tatiana Kuzminich delivered welcoming speeches at the presentation. Representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and lower organizations, authors and developers of the website Asabliva.by, heads and representatives of non-governmental organizations and public institutions caring for persons with special psychophysical needs, and also workers of the National Library of Belarus participated in the event.
