A lesson for children and parents was held within the framework of the "Young Belarusian Ex-libris" contest in the library on April 24. Ms Vera Jahoudzik, book graphic artist was the expert of the event.
The sign of book possession, ex-libris, is also a work of art, a graphic miniature The participants of the lesson were lucky: they not only learned a lot of interesting things about it, but also received professional advice on creating a piece for the contest.
Young artists came up with plots, ideas and sketches of ex-libris dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Library and the 15th anniversary of the Book Museum, conveying the competition theme in laconically in a small format.
By creating their own original piece, children develop creative thinking, visual memory, precision and accuracy.
