On 14 September at the National Library of Belarus was held a seminar-presentation “Electronic information resources for Belarusian libraries. New possibilities for effective use”.


The event was arranged by the National Library of Belarus and KONEK JSC (the Russian Federation) with the support of the Council of Belarusian Libraries for Information Interaction.

Participants of the seminar considered questions relating to access of national scientific community of the Republic of Belarus to the databases of companies Emerald Group Publishing Ltd, ProQuest, OECD electronic library and the electronic resources of publishing houses Springer, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press.

The event gathered over 80 people: specialists of Belarusian libraries, research workers, university professors and students.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."

Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National library

On April 18, the students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National Library of Belarus as part of the environmental education and upbringing program. They got acquainted with the thematic book exhibition "Water is a wonderful gift of Nature" dedicated to World Water Day. The exposition is presented in the documents of international organizations reading room (room 207 g).
