The students of the Minsk City Cadet School and Minsk Secondary School No. 225 attended the excursion of the "Outstanding People of the Motherland" cycle on September 17. For them, excursions were conducted on the heritage of Francysk Skaryna and the work of Uladzimir Karatkievich.
The creative heritage of both famous Belarusians selected by the excursionists is on the list of the most significant achievements of the national book culture. Learning the biographies of famous fellow citizens helps you feel proud of your homeland and understand the identity of your people among the nations of the world.
During the excursion, students learned about the main events in the life of the writers, saw unique documents from the collections of the National Library of Belarus, including the original copies of the Francysk Skaryna Bible and the first editions of Uladzimir Karatkievich's books.
