On 23 January, a creative event "Father Frost in the Bialowieza Forest" was held in the Children's Room of the National Library of Belarus.
Despite the frosty January weather outside, the atmosphere at the event was very warm and cosy.
A slide presentation which had a lot of beautiful pictures introduced children with the mysteries and wonders of the Belarusian Father Frost’s estate. Altogether boys and girls solved riddles about the inhabitants of the Bialowieza Forest and its main host – bison.
The road to the fabulous residence of Father Frost is a long way. The children represented themselves travelers and went skiing on amazing skis on the snow trails.
After fun games the children started to perform 3D- applications. On the miniature of the Bialowieza Forest they put green fir trees made in origami and vivid figures – Father Frost in a fur coat and hat of red velvet paper with fur trim of "snow" semolina. The biggest tree in the miniature was decorated with a garb of garlands. This tree became a prototype of the highest fir in the Bialowieza Forest which turned 150 years old.
Every visitor of the National Library can see the miniature of Father Frost’s estate in the Children’s Room.
