A significant event took place at the Piatrus Browka Literary Museum on October 15: the first scientific and practical conference "The Poet and the World". The event was dedicated to the 115th anniversary of Piatrus Browka and the 40th anniversary of the Piatrus Browka Literary Museum.

Ms Natalia Mizon, Head of the Museum, expressed her hope that the first conference would lay the foundation for a good tradition of presenting scientific and practical achievements in the study of the heritage of Piatrus Browka, Belarusian history and literature, and the current activities of Belarusian museums in her opening speech.

The section leaders were Mr Aliaksandr Guzhalowsky, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Ethnology, Museology and Art History of the Belarusian State University, and Mr Igar Zaprudsky, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of the History of Belarusian Literature of the Belarusian State University.

Under a High Star of Poetry

An exhibition titled “Under the High Star of Poetry”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Belarusian poet, literary critic, PhD in philological sciences Mikola Arochka (1930–2013) is on show in the Belarusian Literature Reading Room (room 205) from 12 November through 30 December.
