On December 11, 2008, in National Library of Belarus took place a ceremony of handing of literature and scientific and documentary materials from the eminent Belarusian figures’ personnel archives in Poland to National Library of Belarus. The event was organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Poland in Belarus.
In the event participated: L.G. Kiryukhina, Deputy Director for library science and public relations; V.A. Gilep, Chairman of Belarusian Fund of Culture; A.I. Butevich, Belarusian translator, writer, and poet; Ales Borschevsky, Head of Belarusian philology faculty, professor of Warsaw university; Czeslaw Seniuh, co-worker of the Polish Radio, translator of a poem by the eminent Belarusian writer and poet Yakub Kolas; Nicolay Bushka, Director of the international festival of church music in Bielostoc region, and others.
