On December 20, Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky attended a presentation of the book Belarusian Thinkers of the 16th–17th centuries. Selected Works.


The publication, timed to the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book-printing, is part of the Legacy of Law Project, initiated by the National Center for Legislation and Legal Studies.

The works of Belarusian thinkers are published annually: this is the eighth edition, which allows studying the foundations of the Belarusian statehood and the history of domestic legal science. You can get acquainted with the electronic version of the seven previous books on the National Legal Internet Portal, which will soon be updated with the eighth edition.

The National Library of Belarus is a co-organizer for the implementation of this significant project. Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky emphasized in his speech the importance of preserving and renewing the intellectual heritage of the country, which is the foundation and guarantee of the successful development of society, state and law.

The event was also attended by the deputy chair of the Republican Union of Artists, Victor Kamenkov, the director of the National Center for Legislation and Legal Studies, Evgeny Kovalenko, and the director general of YurSpektr Company Oleg Slomenets.

During the working meeting, the organizations participating in the project signed an agreement on further cooperation. So the ninth edition is to be published!
