On January 23, 2020, a monthly free thematic meeting with a lawyer on the topic New Revision of the Housing Code: Review of the Main Changes and Additions took place in the National Library. The meeting was a part of the information and legal education of citizens. It was organized by the National Library of Belarus and the Belarusian Republican Bar Association together.
The lecture was delivered by the Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Bar Association, Irina Vishnyakova.
Irina Vishnyakova told in details about legal housing issues in the framework of the current legislation of the Republic of Belarus specifically: the improvement of housing conditions, the right to transfer rental housing into the social category, as well as other innovations and changes made to the new edition of the Housing Code of the Republic of Belarus.
The meeting participants were able to receive competent and detailed answers from a lawyer.
The exhibition of the library's legal collection in the Legal Information Reading Room (room 207b) was a good addition to the meeting.
