On 2 February, within the framework of the actions arranged by the Council of Libraries for Information Interaction, the meeting with the participation of directors of Belarusian university libraries was held.
The following questions were considered at the meeting:
- About corporate purchase of databases for 2012.
- About the interaction of electronic and information resources:
- the summary database of articles;
- the summary database “Scientists of Belarus”.
- About the integration of activities of the Fundamental Library of Belarusian State University and the National Library of Belarus with authors of dissertations.
- About the estimated change of membership in the working groups of the Executive Committee of the Council of Libraries for Information Interaction.
All participants manifested a serious inertest in the issues in question; came forward with initiatives and proposals directed to the improvement of corporate interaction for database purchase; showed their interest in partnership for the development of the summary database of articles and the summary database “Scientists of Belarus”.
