With the blessing of the Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Pavel, the seminar "The history of Orthodoxy in Belarus: the experience and methodology of study" will be held on March 24th.


The organizer of the seminar, which will be held within the framework of the celebration of the Orthodox Book Day, is the Synodal Department for Religious Education and Catechesis of the Belarusian Orthodox Church; the co-organizer is the National Library of Belarus.

The seminar agenda features reports of scientists, historians, researchers, specialists and heads of libraries, as well as exchange of experience in the field of local studies.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
