On 15th May, at 5 p.m., the solemn opening of the Republican exhibition of non-figurative art “Another reality” is to be held at the gallery “Labyrinth”.
The purpose of the project is to reveal the potential and the current state of one of trends in modern art, namely abstractionism.
Artists of different generations and from various regions take part in the exhibition. The exposition presents works of more than fifty authors. Among them there are Nikolay Bushchik, Sergey Davidivich, Vladimir Klimushko, Andrei Savich, Fyodor Yastreb, Alexander Zabavchik, Sergey Lapsha, Viktor Shilko, Lilia Nishchik, Valentina Lyakhovich, Ales Faley, photo artist Vadim Kachan and others.
It is significant that artists from Vitebsk participate in the exhibition as well. They have presented about 30 canvases. Modern artists solicitously preserve the traditions of the “Vitebsk school of art”.
The creative search in graphic art is represented by works of graduates and students of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.
The works of painting, graphics and watercolors, as well as ceramic works of art, sculpture and photo are on display.
Within the framework of the project “Another reality” there will run a book exhibition “Beyond reality” dedicated to non-figurative art and its founders.
