On 26 March, there was held the annual Scientific and practical conference of the Russian Association of Electronic Libraries in which the representative of the National Library of Belarus took part.
The conference was held in the Russian State Library and gathered about 200 participants: experts in electronic libraries, modern information technologies, copyright, editors and aggregators of information resources.
Within the framework of the event the urgent issues of development and maintenance of electronic libraries, acquisition and safekeeping, and also the questions of copyright were considered.
The National Library of Belarus (NLB) was represented by Head of the Electronic library development division V.V. Pshibytko with his report “The electronic library of the National Library of Belarus”. The report covered the particular features of the development and use of the NLB’s electronic library.
