On 15 September, festive events devoted to the Library Day will take place at the National Library of Belarus.
As usual the holiday will open the festival devoted to the Library Day which will take place on the square in front of the National Library of Belarus before F. Skorina monument at 12.00. The representatives of public institutions for culture and librarianship, the representatives of library society from different regions of Belarus will take part in the event. Theatrical and choreographic performances will be within the framework of the event.
The exhibition "The artist to oneself" devoted to the Library Day will be launched at the National Library of Belarus. It is a joint project of the Belarusian Library Association (BLA) and the National Library of Belarus. The exposition was prepared according to the results of the competition held among the library staff from all regions of Belarus. The materials contain over 70 works created by talented and creative librarians in different kinds of art (painting, sculpture, weaving and cloths design). The qualified jury selected the best works in several nominations. Their winners will be rewarded. The opening of the exhibition "The artist to oneself" will be at 13.00 in the gallery "Rakurs" (the entrance on the right side of the Library).
