The final of the national contest for young readers "Living Classics – 2020" took place on August 26. Participants of the competition were young talents from different parts of Belarus.
The works selected by the participants were varied. These were poems by Kolas, Karatkievich, Panchenko... And the most popular themes were the fate of the motherland, the life of the village, the Great Patriotic War. The jury members, among whom was Mr Roman Motulsky, Director General of the Library, had to make a difficult decision. The best readers will appear on the festive stage of the 27th Day of the Belarusian Written Language in Belynichi, Mogilev Region.
The organizers of the competition are the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Stolichnoye Televidenie, CJSC, Public Association “Union of Writers of Belarus”.
