In 2019, the National Library of Belarus is running the Reading as Information and Knowledge Space Charity Campaign.

The main goal is to replenish the collections of Belarusian libraries (institutions of secondary and specialized secondary education) with fiction, popular science, educational, methodical, reference, encyclopedic and other publications that have cultural significance for domestic education.

The campaign will involve the Presidential Library, the Republican Scientific Medical Library, the BSU Fundamental Library, BSEU and BSUKI libraries, the country’s regional libraries, and other institutions and organizations.

The Pachatkovaja Shkola Publishing House, as well as BookLine Group and BeltimeKniga Companies have joined the campaign.

We invite everyone who cares to join the noble cause of promoting the book and reading!

April 18, 2024 marks the 210th anniversary of the birth of Yevstafiy Tyshkevich, a famous archaeologist, historian, ethnographer, local historian and museologist. His research has raised whole layers of the historical past, he was one of the first Belarusian authors of local lore. To mark the anniversary of the scientist, an exhibition "Connoisseur of Belarusian Antiquities" has been organized in the Book Museum of the National Library of Belarus.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
