On 13 September at the National Library of Belarus was held a training seminar for authors of scientific papers “Emerald for authors: how to publish your article in a foreign scientific journal”.
The event was arranged by the National Library of Belarus in cooperation with companies KONEK JSC and Emerald Group Publishing Ltd.
The seminar-training gathered more than 50 participants: postgraduates and candidates for a master’s degree, scientists of research institutions, university professors and library specialists.
Marcin Dembowski, regional representative of Emerald Group Publishing Ltd in Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS; Elena Yeronina, head of the electronic resources department of KONEK JSC, and Evgenia Galievskaya, head of section of the National Library of Belarus presented their papers at the seminar.
The seminar attendees were acquainted with information for authors of scientific articles to be published on the world publishers’ websites; got explanations on standards and requirements to scientific publications, and learned about the procedure for the reception and publishing of scientific papers.
As part of the seminar there was a presentation of scientific electronic resources of the National Library of Belarus in the field of scientific information.
