The long time project “On the Waves of Time throughout Life” is timed to the 100th anniversary of the Belarusian Literary Association of Poets and Writers “Maladnyak” and will be implemented from 2019 to 2023.

The Maladnyak Association was born on November 28, 1923, when the Minsk Komsomol "KIM" Club gathered six young writers: Mikhas Charot, Anatol Volny, Ales Dudar, Andrey Aleksandrovich, Adam Babareko, and Jazep Pushcha. Their goal was to establish a literary union of poets and writers.

The Maladnyak Association played a big role in the development of Belarusian Soviet literature and the formation of national writing as a whole. Many prominent writers of the BSSR began in the association: Petrus Brovka, Mikhas Lynkov, Vladimir Dubovka, Yanka Skrygan, Piotr Glebka and others.

Historical information and digitized editions – non-fiction, magazines and almanacs (Maladnyak, Arshanskі Maladnyak, Dyaproyskіya Osplёskі, Zarnytsy, Svitanne, etc.), and books from Maladnyak’s library will tell about the association’s formation and activities (Maladnyak Yanku Kupalu (1925), Slutskіya pesnyary (1926) Alyosha (1927)) etc. Currently the project presents 60 digitized sources.

The section “Apantanym usyo pad cilu” contains books and periodicals about the organization’s creative activity. Here you will find the full texts of the books by Maxim Goretsky Maladnyak za 5 gadou, Tishkia Gartny Uzgorki i nіzіnyy, Todor Glybotsky (A. Dudar) Nashy litaraturnyja spravy; articles from the newspapers "Zvyazda", "LiM" and the magazine "Maladnyak". The section also features excerpts from the “Chronicle” of the “Maladnyak” magazine and “The Chronicle of the Belarusian culture” from the “Polymya” magazine, which cover the activities of the association (1924–1928).

A gallery of unique photographs with captions verified by archivists was prepared in cooperation with the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature and the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art.

Within five years, a series of projects is to be presented on the library’s portal. Each of them will be dedicated to the outstanding figures of the Maladnyak Association, who were active members and organizers of branch literary unions in all corners of the country. It is planned to post information about Adam Babareko, Kuzma Chorny, Vladimir Dubovka, Vladimir Khodyko, Zmitrok Biadula and others.

The series begins with a project timed to the 110th anniversary of member of the association, Belarusian poet and translator Valery Moryakov (1909–1937). A seventeen-year-old teenager became a well-known poet immediately after the release of his first book, Pyalyastky (1926), and after releasing a new one a year later, Na zalatym pakosie, he became one of the idols of young readers.

The poet was almost forgotten by the beginning of the 21st century, until his nephew, writer Leonid Moryakov (1958–2016), wrote a biographical book about him: Valery Moryakov. Fate. Chronicle. Context (Валеры Маракоў. Лёс. Хроніка. Кантэкст) (1999).

Valery Moryakov was gone early, leaving behind only four books of poetry: Pyalyastki (1926), Na zalatym pakosie, (1927), Varshyni zhadannyau (1930), Prava na zbroju (1933). The full texts are available the section “Sertsa, sagretayae sumam”. A bibliographic list of his lifetime publications in periodicals has also been prepared. All of them are kept in the library’s collections.

The poet’s gallery contains photographs from the personal archive of Valery Moryakov, which is stored in the collections of the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature and the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art.

The poet's writing was studied by Belarusian literary historians and critics K. Komeysha, V. Ragoysha, A. Belsky, N. Mishanchuk, S. Grokhovsky and others, whose books and articles are presented in a separate section.

The online project is available on the Belarusian version of the library site. Translation into Russian and English is planned.
