We continue to work on the project “On the Wave of Time, Throughout the Life”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the All-Belarusian Literary Association “Maladnyak” (1923-1928) despite the obstacles currently being created by the epidemiological situation all over the world. The project was implemented by the National Library of Belarus jointly with The State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature, the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art, and the Maladosts Magazine.
Today we would like to recall the researchers who inspiredly work with us and highlight the activities of writers of the 20s and 30s. It is no less important to remember that life does not stop now. The time will come when we can say that we have made every effort to preserve the precious heritage of the past, and world cataclysms have not stopped us.
It seems that a lot of time has passed since the presentation of the virtual project dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Adam Babareko. So the presentation took place on April 15, 2019, at the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature. Mr Viktor Zhibul, Leading Researcher at the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art, candidate of philological sciences, was one of the participants and speakers there. His efforts, efforts of Ms Anna Zapartyko, Director of the Archive Museum and Ms Alesya Babareko, the daughter of the writer, made it possible to release the Collected Works of Adam Babareko in 2011.
“The two-volume edition of the works by Adam Babareko was published in Smolensk. It includes almost all the literary-critical, prosaic, journalistic, poetic works, notebooks, diaries and letters of the writer that have been discovered today. Most of these works were kept in handwritten form and could hardly be published in the Soviet era. The rich and diverse heritage of Adam Babareko, without a doubt, is an original contribution to the Belarusian literature, aesthetics, philosophy" – determined the researcher.

The scientist continues to actively popularize the art work of A. Babareko. He held two open lectures on the work of Babareko in the at the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature. A number of Zhibul’s research was published in full in the framework of the virtual project “On the Wave of Time, Throughout the Life”. One of the latest publications is an article titled “Adam Babareka and His Сard-register” (“Native Word” No. 11, 2019).
The scientist became an active participant in the round table "Maladnyakouskіmі Krokamі" (January 16, the National Library). He made a report about a large number of writers titled "Maladnyakoucy - Anniversaries 2019-2020" there. This emphasized the fruitful work and scope of the literary association "Maladnyak" which numbered up to 500 members in 1925-1926.
The virtual project “On the Wave of Time, Throughout the Life”, continues to be replenished with materials from the collections of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art thanks to the active assistance of Mr Zhibul.
Today the National Library of Belarus is working on a virtual section dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Kuzma Chorny (1900–1944), who was a close friend of Adam Babareko. We have received valuable letters from the correspondence of these writers from the archives of the museum. You can learn more about these materials in June at the presentation and opening of the section dedicated to Kuzma Cherny. The section will also include the full texts of Victor Zhibul's research on the writer's work.
