Compiling bibliographies

With the help of this service, you can order a professional search for literature on the subject of your interest according to set parameters. The service can be used both by the library registered reader and any other user. The service is free of charge and is implemented due to:

They provide lists of references (without texts) on uncomplicated topics, up to 10 titles, within 1 to 2 business days free of charge to the customer’s email.

The service is provided to users for an additional cost:

  • in the library (2nd floor, room 257, Reference and Information Services department) according to the service procedure;
  • remotely through the service "Writing a thematic bibliography" (a full cycle of service delivery);
  • for legal persons, the service is provided on the basis of a contract for the provision of information services.

Experienced bibliographers will find materials for any scientific research: course work, thesis, master, candidate, doctoral theses, articles, monographs, etc. The language and types of necessary documents, their chronological coverage, location, the required number of sources are set when receiving the order.

Literature search is carried out over the entire range of sources available to the library:

  • catalogs and card files of the National Library of Belarus and other libraries;
  • online and local databases (purchased and self-made);
  • scientific resources of the Internet;
  • bibliographic indexes, abstract journals, reference publications;
  • books, periodicals, theses and other sources.

The period of execution takes within 2 to 10 working days and depends on the complexity of the subject, the number of sources and the orders load. The voluminous, complex references can take more time to be implemented.

The customer gets a bibliography in MS-Word format with the indication of the ciphers for storing publications in the library, as well as electronic texts (if they are necessary and available). The list of literature is edited according to the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus.

The cost is determined according to the Pricelist.
