Life and creative career of Francishak Bahushevich

An excursion from the cycle "Outstanding People of the Motherland" about the life and creative career of Francishak Bahushevich, one of the founders of Belarusian literature, is designed primarily for pupils and students, as well as for everyone who is interested in the life and work of the poet.

During the excursion, visitors learn the architectural features of the building of the National Library of Belarus, its information resources and services, explore the principle of the electronic catalogue using the example of the search for Francishak Bahushevich's pieces.

A part of the excursion takes the form of an interactive lesson using a presentation about the life and creative career of Francishak Bahushevich. Excursionists are offered a book exhibition of the author's works from the collections of the National Library of Belarus. They can see rare editions of the early 20th century of “Dudka Belaruskaja” and “Smyk Belaruski”, newspapers and magazines of the late 19th century with publications by Francishak Bahushevich at the exhibition.

At the end of the lesson, excursionists are given the opportunity to solidify their knowledge with the help of creative assignments.
