Life path and educational activities of Jefrasinia of Polack

An excursion from the cycle "Outstanding People of the Motherland" about the educational activities of Saint Jefrasinia of Polack is designed for pupils and students, as well as everyone who is interested in the historical and cultural heritage of the Belarusian land.

During the excursion, visitors learn about the architectural features of the building of the National Library of Belarus, its information resources and services. Particular attention is paid to the embodiment of the image of the educator in the decoration of the interiors.

A part of the excursion takes the form of an interactive lesson using a presentation about the life path and cultural heritage of Jefrasinia of Polack. Excursionists are offered a book exhibition, including books dedicated to the saint and her cultural heritage, documents from the collections of the National Library of Belarus about the Life of the Monk Saint Jefrasinia of Polack, published in the late 19th – early 20th centuries.

At the end of the lesson, excursionists are given the opportunity to solidify their knowledge with the help of creative assignments.
