General information
After the foundation of the BSSR Sate Library (September 15, 1922), the collection of early-printed and rare books was a part of the stock belonging to the General book keeping department. In 1961 the collection moved to a separate room; in July 1970, a section of the User service department was founded (staff 2 persons). On October 1, 1979, the Early-printed and rare books department was established. On September 1, 2005, it was renamed into the Bibliology department.
The department is located in the atrium on the 3rd floor. It provides services to all users of the Library having the reader’s card, except for schoolchildren.
