The presentation of the book by Mikola Malyauka will be held in the Library on May 29.
Mikola Malyauka is Belarusian poet, translator, author of numerous poetry collections, recipient of the Medal of Francysk Skaryna for professional excellence and contribution to the development of Belarusian literature and culture.
It is no coincidence that in the Year of the Native Land the book written by Mikola Malyauka (Spadchyna, abo Kab ne stat mankrutam. Abrazki z zhyttya nashyh prodkau) and published by the Narodnaya Asveta publishing house is presented. In the book, the author tells about the life and traditions of our ancestors, what they were doing, which household goods they were using and which is the legacy left to us, their descendants.
In this book the readers will explore the scenes from the life of the old village dressed with poetic lines, serious and amusing stories, country sayings and advice, proverbs and riddles.
In the book there are photos from the collection of monuments of ethnography and folk art provided by the Museum of Ancient Belarusian Culture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The book was published due to the financial support of the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus. The book is addressed to children and adults, who love their Motherland and who want to know all about it history.
The presentation will begin at 4 p.m. in the Educational Technologies room (3d floor, room 346).
