As part of activities aimed at supplying information and legal education to citizens, the National Library of Belarus and the Belarusian Republican Colleagues of Lawyers organised and held a monthly thematic meeting with a lawyer on October 27 titled "Division of property: Marriage and Family Disputes (judicial practise)".

Tatyana Plotnikova, lawyer of the specialized legal consultation "Corporate Law and Taxes" in Minsk, delivered a lecture.

The meeting covered in detail the main legal issues related to disputes arising from marriage and family relations, the division of property, including those acquired before marriage, as well as the rights of spouses when entering into a marriage contract.

The event also includes a thematic exhibition of literature from the collections of the National Library of Belarus, presented in the Legal Information Reading room (No 207b).
