“Moments of Century”, a photo exhibition timed to the 100th anniversary of the Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA), has opened in the library, on December 23.

BelTA remains the most authoritative source of up-to-date information about events in Belarus for up to a century. The agency reflects the major milestones in the history of the country from 1918 to the present. The photographs, presented at the photo exhibition, help to plunge into the atmosphere of a bygone era and relive the touching moments of the past.

The exhibition presents a surprisingly bright and clear portrait of Belarus of the last century. The photos tell about the difficult fate of the country during the Great Patriotic War, about the restoration of the republic from the ruins in the postwar period and other events of international importance. In the pictures you can see the most important objects of sport, culture and industry.

The exhibition is focused on the Belarusians, both prominent figures and common people. The portraits colorfully reflect their emotions and mood. The authors of the works give visitors the opportunity to see in the photos themselves, their country, and be inspired by new achievements.

The photo exhibition runs in the gallery “Panorama” (22nd floor, entrance at the backside).

The exhibition will run until January 23, 2019.
The end date may be changed.
The fee is included in the price of the observation deck ticket.
