Gold-plated Kolas and Mayakovsky, "leather" Angels and clockworks: te exhibition "two in one" is open in the National Library.
The artistic and literary project “Golden autographs in heaven” opened in the National Library of Belarus on 18 October, 2016. The exposition’s concept is a joint project of two authors united by a special attitude toward the Book
The initiator of the project is the Gomel Regional Library. The deputy director of the National Library of Belarus for user service and ideology Elena Dolgopolova expressed words of gratitude to its employees, highlighting the inexhaustible creativity of our colleagues from Gomel.
The exposition “Golden autographs” presents the works is a young Italian artist of Belarusian origin Vitaly Odintsov known in artistic circles under the pseudonym Emmanuel Hendrix. Has has developed a unique author’s technique "gold leaf on black plexiglass" and created a series of "gold" portraits of legendary writers, poets and artists, such as Kupala, Pushkin, Ryazanov, Leonov and others. "From childhood, Vitaly was interested in painting, and after moving to Italy he continued to make art”, the artist’s mother Natalia Odintsova said. “From 1997 to 2011, my son graduated from the high school of arts, and also the courses of set design and painting a the Academy of Fine Arts. His teachers were Prof. P. Ferrari, P. Tezzari, I. Letsik".
A sincere, talented skill of young actors gave a special thematic expression to the event. Students of the 4th year of the theatrical faculty of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts Dmitry Rubel, Andrey Korzan, Pavel Pavlyut, Olga Medved and Alexander Gribko performed works of famous poets, arousing a storm of delight and applause from audience.
The second exposition "Autographs in heaven" includes author’s works in which appear the images of Angels, the Book and the Time. In the compositions, the basic material of which is the skin, is also used the photo on canvas and acting clockworks. The artist, a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists and the Union of Writers of Belarus and the deputy director of the Gomel Regional Universal Library named after V.I. Lenin Oleg Ananiev thanked all the creators and organizers of this festival of art. To the question "Why do the Angels, and why they were twelve?" the artist approached philosophically: "The belief in the Guardian Angel has always accompanied me in my life. This is an image of higher forces that are present in the work of every writer, artist or actor. They present every day, all twelve months of the year. "
Looking closely to the works, the viewer can read in each of them the poetic lines subtly inscribed by author’s stroke. "The golden dream", "golden expances", "the golden autumn", "the golden sonnet"... The noble gold has become a thin link between the two exposures, symbolizing the spiritual wealth, the treasures of the cultural heritage and human values.
