On 24 May, at the art gallery “Panorama” of the National Library of Belarus opened an exhibition of drawings performed by students and graduates of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts (BGAI).


The event was held within the framework of the IV Minsk international graphic art exhibition “Art-Line”.

More than 40 drawings performed by BGAI students and graduates in the last 10 years are on display.

The offered exhibition presents different techniques of graphic art: etching, linoleum engraving, woodcut, lithography, cardboard engraving. There are works by young but well-known in artistic circles authors: R. Sustova, L. Abramova, Т. Shelest, F. Basalygo, Z. Piskun and others.

The project curator and Head of the Gallery Division Fyodor Yastreb opened the exhibition. Dean of the faculty of painting at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts Vladimir Urodnich and Head of the chair of graphic arts at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts Yuri Hilko took part in the event.

The exhibition runs up to 27 May.

Entrance by ticket since 25 May. The exhibition entrance fee is equal to that of the Observation Platform of the National Library of Belarus.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.

From May 6 to July 5, the Reference and Information Service reading room (room 257) hosts the book exhibition "Belarus Unconquered", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
