On January 5th – February 28th, a subject book exhibition “Coming together in the electronic century: we and computer” runs in the Periodicals reading room (room 106).
One of the revolutionary achievements in the field of computer engineering is the personal computer. The invention of personal computers (PC) is fairly considered as a grandiose scientific and technical revolution. They have considerably changed the methods of routine and creative work almost in all spheres of life and activity of the person. In the articles presented at the exhibition it is told that an intensive development of branches of the national economy demands a wide application of PC, and it means that we need people familiar with computers and trained to dialogue with them. Numerous publications of the exposition are devoted to the theme “computer and education”.
