From July 15, 2009, to July 25, 2009, in the Belarusian Literature Reading Room (the second floor, room 205) is open a book exhibition “Dimensions and depth” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Belarusian literary critic and writer Victor Kovalenko.
Victor Kovalenko is a member of the Union of Writers of Belarus (since 1962), Doctor of Philology (1978), honored man of science of Belarus (1981), Corresponding Member of Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1984), and academician of National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. He is as well a laureate of the Literary Prize of the Union of Writers of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (1976) and Y. Kolas State Prize of Belarus (1980).
At the exhibition are displayed more than 150 materials: scientific papers and books by the authors, articles in journals and series, and books by different authors dedicated to Victor Kovalenko’s life, research work and creative activity.
The exhibition is illustrated with photos and autographs of the writer.
