From July 1, 2008, to August 31, 2008, in the Periodicals Reading Room (room 106) is open an exhibition “It’s nice to be healthy!” timed to the national Year of Health.

The modern society and rate of its development make certain demands to a person and his or her health. Health is not only a biological, but also a social concept. Several factors, such as environment, public health, lifestyle, and others make an impact on human health.

The Belarusian State appreciates all the importance of this issue and takes care of health of the citizens. The Message by President Alexander Lukashenko to Belarusian people and the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus published in the newspaper “Sovetskaya Belorussia” (2008) states: “Human health is one of the priorities of our State policy”.

The exposition totals over 30 publications from periodicals published in 2006 – 2008.
