The National Library of Belarus offers a holiday book exposition "Minsk in the ХХІ century” timed to Minsk Day of the City that runs from September 9 to October 12.
Minsk has entered the ХХІ century with its original style which combines both modern architectural objects and restored old places.
The exhibition presents the image of Minsk as a political, cultural, scientific and economic center of the Republic of Belarus. The city includes 9 districts every of which is represented by a particular information edition.
It is possible to compare the width of more than 600 streets of the city to the breadth and openness of the Belarusian soul which one can understand through bright patterns of Belarusian art, culture and education. The sections of the exhibition “The spiritual life of Minsk” and “The city of knowledge” comprise informative materials on national theatres, museums and research institutions of Minsk.
Minsk is a beautiful, interesting, fascinating and friendly city. Not only Minsk residents, but also numerous guests of Belarus love and respect the city and, having visiting it once, return willingly to the city again. the sections “The center of international communications” and “The industrial and business center of the country” inform on the major world exhibitions and business forms, and also on big and successful enterprises of the city.
The exposition presents albums, tourist booklets, brochures and pictures with panoramas, historical places and monuments of Minsk. Numerous postcards reflect the city: picturesque in the morning, flourishing in the daytime, flaring at night, and the view of the city is fascinating both at eye level and at a height.
The exhibition is located on the 2nd floor in the circular hall.
