A subject book exhibition "Open yourself to life!” runs at the Periodicals Reading Room (room 106) from March 1 to March 28.
Materials displayed at the exposition concern the issues of alcoholism and hard drinking, their baneful influence on social life and the countermeasures to these phenomena.
The Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus of March 11, 2004, № 1 “On the measures for reinforcement of public security and discipline”, “The State Program of national efforts for alcoholism and hard drinking prevention and overcoming for 2011–2015” adopted on January 11, 2011, and other documents displayed at the exhibition are evidence of the particular attention the State pays to this issue.
Publications displayed at the exposition touch upon the questions of the reasons and the conditions causing alcohol consumption, prevention of children and young adult drinking, and healthy life promotion.
The exposition houses about 40 Belarusian periodicals.
