The thematic exhibition “The age of “autumn” – the age of actions”, dedicated to the International Day of Older Persons, has been opened in the periodicals reading room (106) since September 1 till October 31.
The problem of human’s ageing and his activities in the senior age raises interest in the international sociology nowadays. All countries carry out the work on maintenance of life quality and health of senior people on high level.
In modern conditions, senior age is scarcely the longest period of person’s life and doesn’t fit in the common notion of the sunset of life. Senior people are a group of population with a significant human potential, which can be and should be involved in the socially active life.
