From March 1st to April 6th, in music and audio materials reading room 305 is open the subject exhibition "Your Majesty, Woman” timed to the International Women’s Day.

The Women’s Day is the holiday of spring, tenderness and love.

At all times, people worshiped woman’s beauty and wisdom. A lot of splendid works of art, including music, were created in honor of a woman. The piece “For Elise” by Beethoven, the opera “All Women Behave Like That” (“Così Fan Tutte”) by Mozart, the cycle of songs “Woman’s love and life” by Schumann, the oratorio “I sing the praises of the woman” by A. Ushkaryov, songs by O. Felzmann, I. Luchenok, E. Kolmanovsky, A. Gradsky, E. Martynov and others are the striking examples of that.

The exposition presents works by classical and modern composers, vinyl disks and CDs dedicated to women.

A particular section of the exhibition presents works dedicated to mothers and grandmothers and scenarios of celebration of the International Women’s Day from journals, books and music editions. The offered materials will help to prepare and hold celebrations at school and preschool institutions.
