On October 28th, 2009, within the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Belarus, the delegation headed by speaker of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Political Commission, member of the parliamentary of Turkey M. Chavushoglu visited National Library of Belarus.
National Librarian R.S. Motulsky welcomed the delegation. During the excursion the guests expressed their admiration for the rich book stock and information resources of the Library, its equipment, and peculiar architectural features of the Library building. Ascending the Observation platform, the delegation admired the picturesque panorama of the capital and the suburb.
In the Museum of a Book the guests saw the collection of rare publications from the Library’s stocks. Mr. Chavushoglu wrote a memorable entry in the Guests of Honor’s Book.
