The concert of the Belarusian composer Georgy Sosnovsky took place in the gallery "Labyrinth" on April 28 in the framework of the Year of Culture in Belarus.
The Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian-French Association "Life in Music" and the National Library of Belarus organized the event.
Georgy Sosnovsky graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Music with the specialization in composition. After graduation, he worked as a teacher. He has lived in France since 2000, and heads the Belarusian-French Association "Life in Music", which he founded in 2007.
The main aim of the Association is to support young musicians, create conditions for their skills development and organize concerts in Europe and worldwide. Headed by Georgy Sosnovsky, the Association organized concerts in France and Belarus with the participation of French and Belarusian musicians.
The concert was timed to the 125th anniversary of Sergey Prokofiev and the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare.
There were performed musical pieces of Prokofiev, Mussorgsky, Chopin, Sosnovsky.
