Government of Moscow gifted to the NLB 2 500 books to be redistributed in Belarusian libraries.
Undoubtedly, all these books will find their grateful readers!
In National Library of Belarus is organized a book exhibition where are displayed over 200 titles of publications the NLB received as a present. There are books on Russian art, history, culture, and religion, history of the Great Patriotic War 1941 — 1945, fiction, children’s books, and publications dedicated to Moscow.
At the exhibition is displayed as well a book by O.V. Peskov, the honored cultural worker of the Russian Federation dedicated to the life and career of A.A. Pokrovsky, the eminent Russian library expert, and the history of N.A. Necrasov Central City Public Library which was founded by A.A. Pokrovsky in 1919. This publication will be interesting for librarians and students of local history.
The exhibition is located in the circular passage (third floor).
