On November 27, 2008, took place a meeting of the Prime Ministers of Belarus and Syria in which participated R.S.Motulsky, the Director of National Library of Belarus. At the meeting was signed the Memorandum on mutual understanding and cooperation between National Library of Belarus and National Library of Syria “Al Assad”.
