On September 18 in the framework of the seminar "Actual Issues of Studying the Modern Belarusian Language" museum classes for teachers of the Belarusian language from Poland was organized in the library. The meeting was initiated by the Academy of Postgraduate Education.
Polish teachers learned the main bibliological projects implemented by the National Library in recent years in the fields of scientific, publishing and museum activities. The facsimile reprint projects were presented: "The Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna" (2013–2017), "Belarusian ABC-Book: 400 Years of History" (2018) and "The Brest Bible" (2019). The publications have become the hallmark of Belarus, introducing it to the whole world as a country with an ancient history and rich culture. Thanks to the project, the general public has the opportunity to get acquainted with a valuable layer of our cultural heritage.
ublications are the basic source for scientific research, primarily for historical, philological, cultural and bibliological studies. The methodology of using facsimile publications with the goals of education and upbringing was presented to the seminar participants.
The project "On a visit to books" was presented for teachers of the Belarusian language, whose main tasks are: to attract children to actively study the Belarusian book heritage, to create special pedagogical conditions that help to understand, intellectually and creatively rethink the features of Belarusian book culture. The participants got acquainted with the methodology of organizing classes held in the Museum of books for children in the Belarusian language.
